An Agent4Change has snapped up first prize in a major photography competition.

Winner Zahid Akhtar, 24, entered the 'Young Whipper Snapper' competition, which called for young people to submit photos with the theme "show us what you love about volunteering".

Zahid - an Agent4Change from Yardley, Birmingham - took photos of his volunteer work at a charity shop. He helped to increase the appeal of the place to other young people by modernising the shop's window displays.

He collected his national photography prize from an award ceremony held at Austin Court, Birmingham, and now gets the opportunity to improve his skills by working with professional at Channel 4.

Zahid said: “I have had many great experiences through volunteering and would encourage more young people to get involved because you never know where things can lead. One opportunity can open many doors.”
