Agents honoured at celebration bash!
Twenty Agents4Change were honoured at a national celebration event on May 8th 2008, for their outstanding contributions to the campaign.
Over the past year they have volunteered full-time and recruited over 6,000 of their peers to volunteer in the community; in many cases volunteering for the first time.
The event took place at the Rich Mix complex in London's Bethnal Green area, where guests were treated to an evening of food, wine and spectacular entertainment courtesy of local dance and martial arts group Lynx Media [click here for a photo!].
At the end of the evening, the volunteers were each presented with an award of recognition by Shabana Bakhsh, star of BBC One's Waterloo Road.
Olivia Ware from the Agents4Change press office says: 'It is important to celebrate the great achievement of young volunteers, who give up their time to help inspire thousands of their peers to volunteer and take part in projects ranging from tree planting and environmental clean-ups to anti-bullying and eating disorder awareness campaigns. Agents4Change proves that young people are not the lost cause many fear and are just waiting for the opportunity to show their potential.'
