Agent4Change honoured in Norwich

Agent4Change Janette Cooke was honoured in May at a ceremony for Norwich's City Council's Civic Awards.

The Awards were hosted by the Lord Mayor Roy Blower who said he felt humbled to be in  the presence of so many extraordinary volunteers.

Janette Cooke, 21,  has been a full-time volunteer on Agents4Change since August 2007. She has recently completed a makeover of a community centre where youngsters in Lakenham helped to paint the inside of their hall.

Over the nine months she volunteered on Agents4Change Janette has inspired more than 200 young people in Norwich to try out volunteering, often for the first time.

Olivia Ware, from CSV which runs Agents4Change, said: 'Janette is a true inspiration to others, especially young people. She was nominated for this award to remind her that she has made a massive difference to other people's lives too.'
