Alzheimer's Society
Between 16 March 2009 and 12 April 2009, in Leicester
CSV Agent4Change are helping Alzheimer's Society with the 40 patients who are waiting for volunteers like you to spend approximately 1-4 hours on one day with them.
Activities include:
- Taking photographs and transferring them on to computer
- Learning to use the internet and how to find pictures and borders for their own photographs
- Using Arts and Craft materials to create photoframes and/or scrapbooks
Along with this fun opportunity, you will also be given an hours training as to what Alzheimers is and how to deal with certain situations (some which you may come across on the activitiy day).
A great volunteering opportunity for those who want to go in to healthcare, working with the elderly in general, have experienced family members with Alzheimer's and wanting to know how to deal with them or for people who just want to volunteer and help their community.
Whatever the reason...we welcome you all with open arms!! :-D
