Big Bra'vo for Donations on Merseyside
Between 31 July 2007 and 31 July 2008, in Liverpool
Hundreds of bras have been donated to Oxfam, following a hugely successful artistic project to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. The exhibition at Liverpool's Lily Centre included many artworks using bras - including dresses made from bras, and pieces showcasing the fact that men can get breast cancer too.
Those that could not be used in art exhibits have now been donated to the Oxfam shop on Bold Street, Liverpool. From there they will be sent to West Africa to support women in need, who find it impossible to get quality used bras.
Big Bra'vo to all the ladies from all walks of life who donated for the cause.
