‘Apprentice’ style charity shop make-over
Between 01 December 2007 and 01 December 2007, in Truro
Young people from Birmingham took part in an ‘Apprentice’-style event to give charity shops an injection of youth. Twelve volunteers aged between 16 and 25 were given basic training by design professionals from Harvey Nichols before taking up the challenge to transform the window displays of five different Cancer Research charity shops across the city.
The event took place on Saturday 1st December. Volunteers started work early in the morning and were assessed by professionals from Harvey Nichols. Anees Malik and Zahid Akhtar, working at the Shirley store, were awarded a hamper for their hard work, kindly donated by Harvey Nichols.
