Young volunteers scrub up!
Between 01 January 2008 and 01 January 2008, in Truro
Young volunteers joined Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust for a session of scrub clearing from a neglected part of the Mythe nature reserve in Tewkesbury.
A few hours and a couple of sandwiches later, the result was remarkable! Though it rained…(a lot!), the volunteers worked really hard to clear much of the embankment.
Volunteer Hema said, “Today has been so much fun, I came today knowing nothing about nature reserves or how they are maintained.
It just shows how important volunteers are to keeping sites like this open and accessible to the public. I’ll definitely volunteer again”.
