Paris, London, New York, Milan, and welcome to the stage...Falmouth

The first ever Falmouth University Fashion Show has been hailed as an unmitigated success. First year students on the new Fashion Design BA (Hons) degree showcased their creations to huge applause from an enthusiastic audience on the Woodlane campus last Friday.

The Woodlane bar was bursting at the seams during and after this year’s event. London fashion show producer Lucy Richards, who choreographed the show, and course leaders Jane and Patrick Gottelier are delighted with the success of the event and grateful to everyone who helped with the organisation.

The event was produced by Agent4Change Zak Stanley with the help of many volunteers. From building a stage that was loaned from the Tremough campus, to setting up all the audio and lighting and providing music in the form of All City Chon, a local band which played out the show.

Students and staff from the Falmouth broadcasting degree were on hand to film the event with students from the Photojournalism degree taking photos and students from a variety of courses acted as models. It was a real cross-course effort.

The video will be edited into a promotional DVD for the Fashion Degree. Said Agent4Change Zak: 'I would like to thank everyone that helped make the Fashion Show go so well. Thanks also go to the students whose beautiful work was showcased.'
