Charity Shop in Wallasey Needs Your Help!

Wallasey Church Drop-in Centre is raising money so that it can continue to run its friendly, relaxed service which enables people with mental health problems to meet and chat with friends and to take part in other activities.

The Wallasey Churches Together Drop-in Centre needed volunteers to help in their charity shop or donate items for sale.

The shop was based on Seaview Road and was open from the 18th to the 22nd of August.

The Drop-in Centre is raising money so that it can continue to run its friendly, relaxed service which enables people with mental health problems to meet and chat with friends and to take part in other activities.

Phil Wood, the Centre's Chair said: "The Centre is run by volunteers. It provides a vital service for people experiencing difficulties with mental health. We arrange a wide range of activities such as bingo, playing pool, arts and crafts and with the occasional day out to places such as Southport and Chester.

"The shop helped us raise much-needed funds to keep the service going.

"Everyone was welcome – you don't have to go to church to get involved. All the help we received was much appreciated."
