BBC WW1 Remembrance Event - 8 Nov!
Between 08 November 2008 and 08 November 2008, in Brighton
A pan-BBC Learning campaign to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Armistice, 1918-2008: Ninety Years of Remembrance, will run in the days leading up to 11 November 2008.
The BBC are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers who have an interest in history and computers to help at the BBC WW1 Remembrance event at Newhaven Fort on Saturday 8th October 2008 from 11am to 4pm.
Volunteers are needed for 3 hour shifts in a number of different areas, such as:
- help visitors upload photos / images onto BBC Remembrance Wall website
- help with children's art activities / family ration pass activities
- help direct visitors / be an information steward
Volunteers will be provided with BBC cotton T-shirts, refreshments and have their travel expenses reimbursed as well as time to enjoy event at the Fort.
Volunteers will need to attend a short briefing at the BBC in Brighton on Tue 28 Oct at 5.30pm.
Please get back to me ASAP as forms need to be filled in by 17 October!!!
